Vung Tau resolves complaints and denunciations at over 91% rate

On the afternoon of September 10, a delegation led by Mr. Huỳnh Minh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, monitored the implementation of laws regarding citizen reception and the resolution of complaints and denunciations by the Chairman of the Vung Tau City People's Committee.

Recently, the work of receiving citizens and addressing complaints, denunciations, and recommendations from the public has been strictly directed by the Party Committee and the government of Vung Tau City, preventing any hot spots from arising. The Chairman of the Vung Tau City People's Committee has taken decisive action, implementing numerous proactive measures to enhance the effectiveness of citizen engagement and the resolution of complaints and denunciations in the area.

Twice a month, the Chairman of the City People's Committee meets with citizens on the first and third Thursdays; city leaders also arrange for emergency meetings with citizens when there are requests or complex cases involving many people. All cases are recorded in the Citizen Reception software for complaint and denunciation resolution of the Government Inspectorate. During the reporting period, the City People's Committee received 3,456 petitions (of which 2,069 were under its authority and 1,387 were not). The city has classified and resolved 96% of complaints and 91% of denunciations, along with 76.6% of recommendations in accordance with regulations.
