Conference to announce the decision to audit the 2023 local budget settlement report of the province and integrated topics

On the morning of September 20, the State Audit Office (SA) coordinated with the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to organize a conference to announce the decision to audit the 2023 local budget settlement report of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and related topics. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tin, Chief Auditor of the SAV Region XIII and Mr. Le Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the conference.

Attending the conference on the side of the State Audit Office were Mr. Nguyen Tien Phuoc, Deputy Chief Auditor of the State Audit Office of Region XIII, Head of the audit team; Heads of the audit teams and Heads of the audit quality control team. On the side of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, there were Mr. Le Hoang Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, units and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities.

At the conference, Nguyen Tien Phuoc, Deputy Chief Auditor of the State Audit Office of Region XIII, Head of the Audit Team, announced Decision No. 1618/QD-KTNN dated September 18, 2024 of the State Audit Office on auditing the 2023 local budget settlement report of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and related topics. According to Decision No. 1618/QD-KTNN, within 40 days from the date of announcement of the audit decision, the Team will audit the 2023 local budget settlement report of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province; 

Special topic on state management of mineral resources for the period 2021-2023; Special topic on the implementation of arrangement and reorganization of public service units according to Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW-dated October 25, 2017 of the Central Executive Committee for the period 2021-2023 and Special topic on management and use of funds for environmental protection and climate change response for the period 2021-2023.

Scope of audit, for the local budget settlement report, audit the 2023 budget year and related previous and subsequent periods; for integrated topics, audit the 2021-2023 period and related previous and subsequent periods.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tin, Chief Auditor of the State Audit Office of Region XIII, said that immediately after the announcement conference, the Audit Teams will deploy their work at units and localities according to the expected time, plan and program. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tin requested the Audit Team to direct the Working Teams to promptly report any problems during the implementation process for guidance.

Mr. Le Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the audited agencies and units to arrange time to closely follow the plan set out by the Audit Team; provide relevant records and documents to serve the audit work in accordance with regulations.
